wiper stpped working

any one close to st.augustine want to help diagnose why windshield wiper on cobra stopped working? I have power to motor,,hate to just start replacing parts if not broken.. not sure if motor,switch or something else. electric in cars certainly not my strong point....yrag

Sorry for the delay in responding - been cleaning up (still) after Matthew. Nothing major, just a lotta work.

As to the wiper motor, if you have 12V at the motor, first thing to check is the ground. These glass bodies just don't conduct electricity too well.

Lots of electrical gremlins in fiberglass cars are caused by corroded, loose or otherwise poor grounds.

Would ground be from motor or the switch...got three terminals on motor +, -' and s what ever that means

It's probably more than you need, but the end page or two describes their wiring pretty thoroughly. If this one isn't applicable to your specific setup, look around the FF5 site some more.

Wiring problem between switch and wiper motor,,,traced wires and checked connections had a grimlin....Kind of mystery but works fine now.
