Way back when I worked with a gentleman named Russell B. Newton who hailed from Georgia. At the time I knew him in the early 70s he was in management for the Milliken Research Corporation in Spartanburg SC. He said lots of neat things, but the one that stuck with me most was this:

"It ain't what you know that causes the problems. It's what you know that ain't so."

I thought then and still do that this was a very true bit of logic...
