It looks like nylon braided to me Tom, which still has some metal strands in it. Nice hack though.

That belt sander is a beast Tom, it saved me hours of work grinding the lugs on my bench grinder, and a much better result!

Ain’t that the truth…and I figured while I have the car in the air with the front wheels off, I need to install some splash shields on the rear of the wheel wells to keep water and dirt from migrating toward the cabin…

3) I think it’s a combined effort, both hub and pins center the wheel.

Here are a few pics of the driver side rear hub. On further inspection of the wheels, I see they’re manufactured by Wheelcraftu (made in S.A. for CAV), not made by Vintage Wheels USA as typically supplied by RCR.
