Kay and I have talked this over a lot. We're inclined to be perhaps overcareful, so we won't be attending the Brumos tour. Sadly, it's a really great place - if we hadn't already been there we may have been tempted to go.

We'll be working on how to join the group without joining the group, if you can appreciate that.

Hoping the weather is kind to all,

Tom

UPDATE Thursday October 22, 2020:

From Dennis:
Schedule Update

We will only be doing the 10am tour of Brumos. Lunch at Joe's Crab Shack will be at 1pm.

We have a cruise option leaving from Brumos for those who aren't doing the tour.

See you all soon, drive safe.

Well, I went to the meet and greet - who wouldn't: free beer and pizza!

Got rained on for about 3 miles on the way down, and maybe 12 miles on the way back. It's surprising how cold that feels! Maybe I shoulda used the top?

Rain chances this morning are all over the place: some are saying zero, others 40%, take your pick.

So I think I'll bag today, and go tomorrow if the drier forecast holds up.

Dice roll time!

Looking at the weather frogs forecasts for the Palm Coast area tomorrow, we've decided to go (unless there's a change for the worse overnight of course...)

Probably leave the house around 8 and head for the Palm Coast Fairfield Inn RR HQ, we hope in time to meet up with the group.

Then off to Georgetown. Kinda play it by ear from there, assessing the weather, the Covid precautions at the venue, and the phase of the moon of course!

See you there if you've decided to go.

Ken,

Our thanks for preventing the rain. I'm sure if you'd joined in we'd have all drowned (NOT!)

A nice day - we left early thinking it would rain so of course it didn't. It cleared up and became mostly sunny. Left here about 8 and got back around 1. Were surrounded with plenty of good folks and about 16 Cobras.

That she did. Nice group of cars. I did rain some up here in Jax and OP. Glad it missed all of you.
Looking forward to next year.

We had a nice time at our first "Reptile Roundup"! Ran between the raindrops a little, but we managed to stay dry in the Cobra. Met some very nice, friendly Cobra folks from other places and overall enjoyed ourselves. Wish the weather had been more certain as it might have encouraged others to attend...
