Saturday 4/11 drive and socially distant picnic lunch

Post by BittenAgain »

Good morning all!

I know we're under a stay-at-home order, but cabin fever, sunshine and a week of upcoming inclement weather is prompting me to consider a Cobra drive tomorrow (also, a newly-functioning clutch to celebrate).

I'm figuring on a 10:00 departure from StA, (meeting in the parking lot at Broudy's Liqour at Rt 1 & King St), drive west of StA on 214 (W. King St) out to CR13, then up towards Rt 16, back across World Golf Pkwy to Rt 1 south back to StA, then get to-go lunch at Blue Hen Cafe in Lincolnville and take it down to picnic tables at Eddie Vickers Park at south end of Lincolnville...folding chairs or blankets as a back up if tables are taken. If anyone would like to join in, let me know... Bob

Tom, Great! Will meet you at west end of Broudy's parking lot at 10:00...(unless we want to go through the drive-thru and get something for the road first...)

Ken,

I plan to leave home at about 9:30AM.

The lot Bob is referring to is actually a bit closer to you than my house, if you prefer. The store itself has moved to the Cobblestone shopping center off of 312, west of US1.

Here's a map of the US1/King St lot I think Bob means:

What a top-notch day for a Cobra ride! Good weather, great company and a very nice (short) route concocted by Guide Bob and the lovely Patty!

Here's social distancing being practiced by Cobras:

I second Tom's summary...a lovely day for a country Cobra drive and excellent take-out lunch from Blue Hen Cafe. Thanks to Tom & Ken for joining in...
